Fresh Start Challenge Day 26: No It's Not a Vampire

Ahhhh another reason to love winter. Winter means Christmas. Christmas means The Santa Clause. And the Santa Clause means this guy!

Bernard the Elf; the guy that knows it all right under Santa.

Seriously, this elf is hot and knows that I have been on the naughty list. Such a sweetie! Plus he is good with kids and loves to eat! He has a bit of an attitude which I think is adorable. He is very protective of what he does and stands for. I am not saying I want to marry him or even steady date him. But one night in Santa's sleigh with some hot cocoa can't be bad right?

Fresh Start Challenge Day 18: Take My Hand

+Hunter and +Odette were the ones that inspired me the most to start blogging.

Odette was the one I used to watch that would spend hours blog planning when she went for walks. Come on the girl has a planner for her blog along. Some people don't see the small changes that go into her blog. But to the trained person you can see how she inputs ideas into her blogging and slowly. Which is really better than just a dramatic change.

Hunter, OMG this girl took the blogging world by storm. She is amazing with her blogging. At first she did a lot of make up and beauty things and I have to agree with Zach Holland. Her personal blogs are fabulous and a lot of fun to get to another layer of Hunter. I do believe we need to do a Southern blog challenge for her!!! Score idea for me!!!

Fresh Start Challenge Day 13: Go Big Or Go Home

I am not going to act like my dream date is all simple and stuff it's not. I want a blow-your-Batman-socks off kind of date.

I do not a limo ride. Seriously that is boring as crap. I want a police escort instead in a sports car. I want to go to a fancy restaurant. Then go to a gala. I want to do a dressed up date. One where the dress sparkles and glitter and sashays around my legs.

Going to a real ball has always been a dream of mine as well. Not something stupid like prom but a real fancy ball. Something that has real worth and cannot be turned into crazy and stupid.

Or a civil war party. *Sighs* That would be the best date ever for me.

Life Size

There are many reasons why I love being a teacher. One of the many reasons I love the most is at times I get to go back and be a kid with them. I'm the teacher that plays dress up with them. Most of the time in my room we will wear costumes and act out the book.

Tonight was a night that I was able to back to my childhood. My mom gave me all of my Barbies when I moved out over 5 years ago. I had put them away. However, tonight when Rain, my stepsister's daughter, was playing with her own Barbies and Hunter's Barbies I couldn't resist playing along with her. I put batteries in everything that needed batteries. My other cousin, Carolina, joined us with her Barbies.

I was able to show Rain my Barbie magazines. She was fascinated. She was also intrigued at the clothes of some of my Barbies. Some of mine had been handed down from cousins like Hunter's had been as well. So there was some 80's styling going on with the Barbies. Rain loved it. She thought it was so cool at the big chested Barbies and how all of my Ken Barbies looked the same.

We spent more than hour playing with Rain. She loved that we playing with her. Playing with little ones remind how innocent I once was in my life. I let her keep two outfits because she loved them so much. She was content with playing on her own but loved it when we played with her. I believe I may have to over there play with her more often. I believe it did me and her both some good.

I know Barbie has been ridiculed in the past. However, in a child's mind there is a good Barbie and bad Barbie regardless. Barbie helps imagination and that is more important. So instead of trying of trying to normalize Barbie. Remember it's okay to dream because you once stop dreaming life doesn't have a lot of meaning.
